Taken at the stunning cliffside home to the Byron Bay Lighthouse

Mackay Botanical Gardens

We were the very first people in Australia to see the sunrise that day. Of course, this is Byron Bay.

Possibly my favourite photograph, this was taken in the lush green hills of a dairy farm located in Eungella – a country town west of Mackay. The township is also home to the Eungella Rainforest which boasts being the habitat of the elusive platypus.

This was shot on the drive up the range into the Eungella township. Being so high above sea level, you are literally driving in the clouds. This of course can make it a little eery at low levels of light.

This dilapidated old shack isn’t hidden or dying out of sight. No, it is in fact proudly facing the main road on the stretch out to the little coastal town of Seaforth. Having caught my eye countless times, I finally captured a photograph of this intriguing building.

I was captivated by the way the sun transformed this most curious flower.
